By the time February rolls around, I’m already anxiously awaiting the arrival of spring, checking the gardens for any sign of life. So I was excited about the design we came up with for Zora & Jerome’s ‘winter’ wedding at Sodo Park, aiming to find that middle ground between the two seasons. A touch of the dark and romantic offset by the light and fresh. Ornate + rustic + clean + simple + lush + vintage + timeless… blended all together and not too much of any of it. After painting the overall picture during our first meeting together, Zora just let me run with it. I’m sure it’s always a little hard for a bride to picture what I’m talking about and ‘inspiration photos’ only go so far. But no matter what I suggested… from water-colored elements to lace runners to antiqued blue urns, she trusted that I’d pull it all together. So thank you, Zora. You were so great to work with.
